Wolf is professional-grade equipment scaled for residential kitchens. The same igniters, gas valves, infrared broilers, and convection systems you'd find in a restaurant — engineered to last, but also engineered with parts that wear and fail like commercial equipment. That's why generalist appliance repair shops struggle with Wolf: a Wolf gas range has more in common with a Vulcan or Garland restaurant range than with a GE residential gas stove.
We service Wolf exclusively (alongside Sub-Zero) in NYC. Our trucks stock OEM igniters, gas valves, spark modules, infrared broiler elements, and convection fan motors for the most common Wolf series. Most repairs finish on the first visit.

Burner won't ignite (or ignites then goes out)
Top failure mode on Wolf ranges. Causes in order of frequency: dirty/wet igniter, failed spark module, failed gas valve, or worn ignition cable. The igniter itself is often a depends on the specific model and failure mode part — replacement labor is what costs you. Read our deep-dive: Wolf burner won't ignite troubleshooting.
Oven not heating or uneven heating
Bake element, broil element, convection element, or convection fan motor. Modern Wolf ovens display fault codes that point us straight at the failed component — see our Wolf oven error code reference.
F1, F2, F3, F4 error codes
Most Wolf F-codes indicate a temperature sensor or control issue, not a fundamental oven failure. F1 is the most common and usually means an open thermal sensor or a runaway temperature condition. Read about F1 specifically →
Constant clicking when burner is off
Spark module stuck in continuous-spark mode. Usually moisture inside the spark module housing. Sometimes a stuck igniter switch. Easy fix if caught early — we replace the spark module and dry out the surrounding components.
Door won't close / hinge problem
Wolf range oven doors weigh 25–40 lbs depending on size. Door springs and hinges wear out. We carry hinge replacements and the spring tools needed to service them without damaging the door.
Pricing on Wolf repairs in NYC
Repair costs depend on the model, the exact failure mode, parts required, and on-site access conditions. Our flat $125 service call covers the on-site diagnostic and a written, itemized estimate. The $125 is credited toward the repair if you approve it — so you only pay the diagnostic fee if you decide not to proceed.
For an honest cost range tailored to your specific issue and model, call us at (646) 863-5411. With your model number and symptom, we can usually give you a realistic range on the phone before we even dispatch.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are you authorized by Wolf?
We are independent — not a Wolf factory-authorized service center. Our technicians are factory-trained on Wolf systems, we install OEM Wolf parts only, and we spend most of our work week on Wolf and Sub-Zero. Most NYC customers find independents faster, cheaper, and more transparent than factory dispatch.
Wolf says my range needs the gas valve replaced. Is that really the problem?
Sometimes. But we frequently get second-opinion calls where another company quoted a gas valve when the actual problem was the spark module or even just a dirty igniter. Gas valves are an expensive part — worth a second opinion before authorizing that repair.
My Wolf range is from 2008. Worth repairing?
Almost always yes. Wolf ranges are built to last 20–25 years. A 16-year-old range is mid-life. Most repairs run under depends on the specific model and failure mode and the alternative is a depends on the specific model and failure mode replacement.
Can you fix a gas leak smell from my Wolf range?
Yes, but if you smell gas RIGHT NOW, turn off the main gas valve to the range and call us. Don't use the range until we've diagnosed. Most gas smells on Wolf ranges come from a worn burner valve or improperly seated burner cap — both quick fixes — but we treat every gas-smell call seriously.
Do you work on Wolf charbroilers and griddle modules?
Yes. Wolf charbroilers and griddle modules are common modular options on the Pro ranges. Common failures: igniter, gas valve, surface element. We service all of them.
Will you service a Wolf range in a co-op with strict contractor rules?
Yes. We work most NYC luxury co-op and condo building rules (contractor hours, freight elevator, COI, mat-and-protect). Tell us your building when booking.
